Xenophobia

Shriya Ballah captains her interstellar ship to the planet Gliese 849d, the first planet known to have intelligent aliens, in hopes of establishing diplomatic relations. Her crew and family have to fight just to talk to the Gliesians and when they finally return to Earth, their home is not as welcoming as they had hoped.
