In 1988, the Giro d’Italia peloton passed over the 2,600m high Gavia in a blizzard.

Waiting for giro follows the bleak existence of a couple waiting in a filthy, rat infested,boarded up flat. The film is shot in very dark tones and weighs the viewer down with the claustrophobia of the wait until the moment a knock at the door signals the end and possible relief.
