Born in 1982 in Toulouse, Emma Fariñas graduated with a degree in cinema from Paris 8 and FAMU in Prague, a BTS Audiovisual option Image and a degree in Spanish literature from the University of Toulouse – Jean Jaures. Since 2006, she alternates between the profession of producer and that of director of documentaries. She accompanies authors in the writing and production of their films through various structures and collectives (Courte Echelle Prod, Les Zooms Verts, for example). She also tries to find in her own creations the fairest way to tell the real "The mechanographs of Mexico" in 2006, "The value of objects" in 2013 and "Instants seized" in 2015. Following the workshop of documentary writing that she followed at the Ateliers Varan in 2014, she directed "Who remembers the olive trees?". In 2020 she became known for "Aquí y allí".
